How We Review Bitcoin Casinos for Players in Ireland

Eoin Fahy, BitcoinSpins editor By Eoin Fahy · Updated 7 October 2026

The order of work for each BitcoinSpins review is always the same. First, we read the terms of the casino. Next, we open the cashier of the casino from an Irish connection and look up the licence on the regulator's website. Finally, we post what we see in both Bitcoin and euro. We explain each of these in this article as well as indicate where the method stops.

  • 10casinos reviewed
  • 7licences a regulator's own page confirms
  • 3regulators: Curaçao, Anjouan, Tobique
  • 2currencies for every figure: BTC and euro

The four things a review checks first

  1. Open to IrelandThe casino's own terms must not list Ireland as a restricted country. Each review quotes the clause.
  2. Bitcoin costsDeposit and withdrawal minimums, fees and payout caps, in BTC and in euro.
  3. A licence you can checkA licence counts when the regulator's own website confirms it. Each review names the company and the number.
  4. Rules and toolsDeposit wagering, ID checks, idle fees, and whether limits and self-exclusion work for crypto.

A casino that fails the first check is not reviewed at all. The other three checks give the bulk of the score.

Where the facts in a review come from

FactWhere it is readWhat the review shows
Restricted countriesThe casino's termsThe clause number
Minimums, fees and limitsThe cashier of an account opened from Ireland, and the casino's public fee pagesA screenshot of the screen, with any deposit address hidden
Bonus rulesThe bonus page and the bonus termsThe wagering, the time limit and the maximum bet
LicenceThe regulator's own certificate or validation pageThe company, the licence number and the status
ID checks and limitsThe terms and the account's own settingsWhat is asked for, and when

When a casino does not disclose something, we put "not stated" or "not shown" in the review, and do not speculate to fill the gap.

What a research account is used for

What we do

  • Opened from an Irish connection, so the casino shows what an Irish visitor sees
  • Used to read the deposit and withdrawal screens, which most casinos hide until you log in
  • The source of the cashier screenshots in each review

What we do not do

  • No money is deposited and no bet is placed on a research account
  • No bonus is claimed and no ID documents are sent
  • So payout times in a review are the casino's own stated times, and are labelled that way

That last line in the review is important. A statement saying "usually within 24 hours" is something the casino is stating about themselves and is not something we measured.

What the score out of 10 means

  1. Cloudbet7.8 Curaçao licence, active
  2. Shuffle7.6 Curaçao licence, active
  3. BC.Game7.3 Anjouan licence, valid
  4. Slots Gallery6.9 Tobique licence, valid
  5. Metaspins6.8 Anjouan licence, valid
  6. Roobet6.8 Curaçao licence, active
  7. 7Bit6.6 Tobique licence, valid
  8. HellSpin6.4 licence not confirmed
  9. Vave5.5 no licence shown
  10. Betpanda5.3 no gaming licence

Each casino gets one score. There are no part scores for games and support, because a casino that will not pay you is not rescued by a good lobby.

The score follows the four checks above. So far, we have looked at ten casinos. Each time, those with a licensed regulator have been placed above those without. Betpanda, which has a better Bitcoin cash-in than out cashout of the ten casinos looked at, still comes last.

A ranking page works differently. The ten casinos on that page are scored against the same question. So Cloudbet has 7.8 in its review and 8.8 in fast withdrawal Bitcoin casinos, where only payouts count.

How figures are shown in BTC and euro

One rate for the whole site

Every euro figure on the site is worked out from this rate until the next update.

The Bitcoin figure is the casino's. The euro figure is ours.

A minimum set in Bitcoin costs more in euro when the price rises. If you are close to the minimum, send a bit more.

Updates and corrections

  • Every page is dated. The "Updated" line under the heading is the date the page was last changed.
  • Casinos move faster than pages. Offers, fees and minimums change without notice. Check the casino's own page before you deposit.
  • Corrections are welcome. Write to post@bitcoinspins.io with the page and the figure. See the contact page.
