Bitcoin Withdrawal Times: From Request to Confirmed Coins

Eoin Fahy, BitcoinSpins editor By Eoin Fahy · Updated 7 October 2026

The process for withdrawing Bitcoin from a casino takes two steps. First, the casino has to process and send the coins. Second, the Bitcoin network has to process the payment. For the second step, it takes around 10 minutes to an hour for the Bitcoin network to process a payment. The first step, the casino part, can take anywhere between a few seconds and 3 days.

  • 10 minaverage gap between Bitcoin blocks
  • 2 minCloudbet's time for 90% of withdrawals
  • 72 hours7Bit's limit after approval
  • 6confirmations advised for large amounts

The short answer

  • The casino is the slow part. Stated approval times at the ten casinos we cover run from "at once" to 72 hours.
  • The network adds about ten minutes a confirmation. Most wallets count a payment as received after one.
  • Three casinos state no time at all. Shuffle, Metaspins and Betpanda.
  • Most delays have a cause you can find. An open ID check, an unwagered deposit, an active bonus or a large amount.
  • A sent payment cannot be recalled. Check the address and the network before you confirm.

Bitcoin withdrawal times in two parts

Bitcoin withdrawal times in two parts: the casino's stated approval time, from under 2 minutes at Cloudbet to 72 hours at 7Bit, and the network's confirmations at about 10 minutes each
Wait one is the casino. Wait two is the network.

When you hit withdraw, there is no interaction with the Bitcoin network. The casino gets a request, which it then processes. Only then is a payment made.

After that, the casino no longer has anything to do with the process. The payment is public and waits with other payments on the Bitcoin network to be processed.

When a payout feels slow, the first thing you need to do is determine which step you are in. If you know this, you can figure out who to contact to expedite the process (if contacting anyone will help).

How long each casino takes to approve a withdrawal

  1. RoobetSent as soon as requested
  2. Cloudbet90% in under 2 minutes a few take up to 24 hours
  3. BC.GameAt once 1 to 6 hours if a large withdrawal is audited
  4. HellSpinUsually under 24 hours
  5. Slots GalleryUp to 48 hours of review
  6. 7BitWithin 72 hours of approval
  7. Vave"As soon as possible" up to 3 days for some methods
  8. ShuffleNo time stated
  9. MetaspinsNo time stated
  10. BetpandaNo time stated

These are the casinos' own words, taken from help pages and terms. A stated time is a promise, and it is also the limit. A casino that states 72 hours may well pay in one.

No stated time doesn't mean slow. It means there is nothing to hold the casino to. If speed matters to you, a casino that puts a figure in writing has given you something to quote back to it.

How long the Bitcoin network takes

  • 10 minaverage gap between blocks
  • 1 in 7blocks arrive within 90 seconds
  • 1 in 20take longer than 30 minutes
  • 144blocks in an average day

Payments in Bitcoin are confirmed in batches called blocks, and the network is designed in a way that a block is confirmed on average every 10 minutes. The network, however, adjusts its design every 2,016 blocks, around every 2 weeks, and re-tunes itself to hold the average to 10 minutes.

Ten minutes, however, is just the average. Blocks in the network are confirmed in a random fashion, just like buses on a route with no timetable. Intervals between two blocks can be as little as a minute, and sometimes, one block can take most of an hour.

Payments shown as unconfirmed for 25 minutes are normal. One shown as unconfirmed for more than 3 hours is waiting because of its low fee, explained below.

What confirmations mean for a withdrawal

  1. 0 confirmations

    Seen, waiting for a block

Your wallet shows the payment within seconds of it being sent. bitcoin.org calls this stage only safe if you trust the person paying you.

  2. 1 confirmation

    About 10 minutes

The payment is in a block. Most wallets now count it as received.

  3. 3 confirmations

    About 30 minutes

Rated mostly or highly reliable by bitcoin.org. Exchanges often wait for two or three before you can sell.

  4. 6 confirmations

    About an hour

bitcoin.org's minimum recommendation for high-value transfers.

Each new block confirming your payment is called a confirmation. Every one makes the payment harder to undo, until undoing it is out of reach.

How many confirmations are needed is determined by the receiver. One confirmation is enough to see the payment in your wallet, but if you sell the payment on an exchange, it is up to the rules of the exchange to determine when you can sell the payment.

Why a Bitcoin withdrawal takes so long

  • An ID check is open. HellSpin holds a first withdrawal until its ID checks are done. Metaspins can hold one while it checks, and gives you 30 days to send documents. See crypto casino KYC.
  • The deposit has not been wagered. Nine of the ten casinos ask for a deposit to be bet one to ten times first. See deposit wagering rules.
  • A bonus is still active. Unfinished bonus wagering blocks a withdrawal, or cancels the bonus if you go ahead.
  • The amount is large. BC.Game audits large withdrawals for one to six hours. HellSpin pays at most €4,000 a day and 7Bit €10,000 a week. Metaspins may pay large wins in monthly parts.
  • The network is busy. A payment with a fee below what the network is taking has to wait its turn.

Four of those five are on the casino's side, and all four are written in its terms before you ever deposit. Reading the withdrawal section first saves the surprise.

Each payment in Bitcoin is charged a fee. Payments in Bitcoin are processed based on the fee, and if the fee is too low, the payment can take a long time to be processed.

On a casino payout, the casino decides the fee. The figure you see on the cashier is what the casino charges you, which is a different number. A casino can charge you €1.54 and add more or less to the amount on the payout.

Support cannot increase the speed of the network. It can, however, provide you with the transaction ID so that you can look for the payment yourself.

How to check where a Bitcoin withdrawal is

  1. Look at the status in the cashierPending means the casino has not sent it. Nothing is on the network yet.
  2. Ask for the transaction IDOnce sent, every payment has one: a string of 64 letters and numbers.
  3. Paste it into a block explorerA block explorer is a public site that shows every Bitcoin payment. mempool.space is a widely used one.
  4. Read the confirmationsZero means it is waiting for a block. One or more means it has arrived.
  5. No ID after the stated time?Write to support with the time and the amount of your request.

A block explorer shows the address the coins were sent to. Compare it to your own. A Bitcoin payment to the wrong address is irreversible, so the time to confirm is before you submit the withdrawal.

Faster than a standard Bitcoin withdrawal

The Lightning Network

A second layer on top of Bitcoin where payments settle in seconds, for a tiny fee.

7Bit and Betpanda take Lightning deposits. Both are confirmed for deposits only, so plan on a standard Bitcoin payout unless the cashier offers Lightning when you withdraw.

Good for small amounts, in a wallet that supports it.

Another coin

Litecoin blocks arrive every 2.5 minutes on average. Tether sent on Tron or Solana confirms in seconds.

Betpanda makes you withdraw in the coin you deposited. There, the choice is made when you pay in.

Good for players who do not need to end up holding Bitcoin.

The Lightning route is covered in the Lightning Network explained, and Tether in USDT casinos in Ireland.

Ten minutes a block is a fact of Bitcoin. Seventy-two hours is a choice made by a casino.

Bitcoin withdrawal times: FAQ

How long does a BTC withdrawal take?

After a casino sends it, approximately 10 minutes for the first confirmation and about 1 hour for six. The casino approvals can take from a few seconds to three days, depending on the casino.

How long does a casino withdrawal take?

According to the casinos themselves, Cloudbet says 90% of their payouts are less than 2 minutes, HellSpin says usually under 24 hours, and 7Bit states up to 3 days after approval. Fast withdrawal Bitcoin casinos ranks all ten.

Why is a BTC transfer taking so long?

No transaction ID? That means the casino has not sent it yet. Look for an open ID check, an unwagered deposit, or a manual review. If a transaction ID exists, but there are no confirmations, the fee is likely too low and the transaction will confirm when the network clears.

How many confirmations does a Bitcoin withdrawal need?

The number of confirmations required for a Bitcoin transaction to be considered settled is determined by the endpoint of the transaction. Most wallets will consider one confirmation enough, but some exchanges will require two or three. Six or more confirmations are considered a best practice for high-value transfers.

Can I cancel a Bitcoin withdrawal?

The request can be cancelled prior to the payment being sent. For example, Betpanda allows players to cancel payment requests. Once the payment is sent by the casino, it cannot be cancelled.

Does a higher fee make a casino withdrawal faster?

No, players cannot choose the network fee. The casino will set the network fee when the payment is sent. The fee displayed in the cashier is unrelated.

Is the Lightning Network faster than a normal Bitcoin withdrawal?

Yes, payments made over the Lightning Network are instantaneous. Not many casinos have integrated Lightning Network payouts, See the Lightning Network explained.
