Cloudbet pays the highest published rate here. For your first 30 days, 10% of the house edge is returned to you on all bets made on casino games. The offer is available with any first deposit. The 10% return is cash with no wagering, and it counts towards a $2,500 cap on the whole welcome package.
The return is split. Clause 8.4 of the terms and conditions states that 30% of the return is given to you immediately, and the other 70% is given to you on a rewards calendar, and is released in six instalments one every 48 hours. Each of the instalments is valid to claim for 24 hours, and if not claimed, it is forfeited.
On day 31 you are given access to Cloudbet's loyalty programme. The base rate is 5% of the house edge, and timed TURBO boosts raise it for short spells. Cloudbet's welcome page advertises boosts of up to 25%.

Shuffle offers the simplest of the six programmes. Its help centre states that 5% of the house edge is returned to you as cash, on all casino games. To receive the return, wager 1,000 USDT on a game with a 2% edge, and 1 USDT is returned, win or lose.
It doesn't happen all of a sudden. Rakeback begins at Bronze, the first VIP level, which you reach after wagering $1,000. From there, it builds up and you can cash it in whenever you want. There is no calendar, vault or claim deadline.
The help centre gives that one rate and mentions no higher rates for higher VIP levels. The other rewards for the higher levels include a daily bonus for Bronze, a weekly bonus for Silver and monthly bonuses for higher levels. Shuffle does not give the amounts for these rewards.

Metaspins credit rakeback every hour and allows it to stack for a larger reward. The rate depends on your VIP level: 5% of the house edge at Bronze, up to 10% at the top. The VIP terms and conditions state, "0x wagering", which means you will get cash back.
The VIP page shows the amount. Wager $1,000 on a game with a 3.52% house edge at the Bronze rate and the rakeback would be $1.76. You are part of the VIP Club from your first real-money bet, no opt-in required.
There is a strict time limit. A reward can be claimed for 24 hours from the time it is created, and the timer does not reset if more is added to it. If you don't claim it in time, you lose it all. Upon claiming, you have the option to play a coin flip to double it. Decline this bet, as it is a 50-50 bet with your money on the line.

Betpanda pays rakeback once a day. Each morning at 08:00 UTC it sends 5-10% of the house edge of the previous day's bets. The percentage is determined by your VIP level. It is always paid in Tether, regardless of the coin you used to bet.
There is also a threshold. Rakeback will not be paid until it reaches 3 USDT. At a 5% rakeback, it takes about 1,500 USDT of slot bets in a day. That comes out to about €1,330. If you don't reach that amount, you won't receive any rakeback, and the terms do not say the amount carries over.
Betpanda also offers 10% cashback on your net losses of the week. That cashback is the bigger payment for most people. It sits fourth here because it holds no gaming licence and its account has no deposit limit or self-exclusion.

Roobet gives rakeback in multiple ways. A big part of its rewards system is rakeback. There is no welcome bonus; instead you earn rewards at four speeds: instant, daily, weekly and monthly. One of those speeds is instant, and you can claim it every 30 minutes. It never expires while it waits.
That's where it gets a bit complicated. Part of each claim is added to your account, while the rest is added to a vault. The vault has a payout of 3 claims in a day, 8 hours apart. Each payout claim has an expiration of 24 hours. So if you don't claim your rewards within 24 hours, you won't receive them. Weekly and monthly rewards are spread over 14 days the same way.
Roobet's help centre simply defines rakeback as "a percentage of your wagered amount." Without a defined rate, it can't be compared to the others on this page. Rakeback also freezes while you're using a deposit bonus.

BC.Game's welcome offer is a "deposit rakeback." The first four deposits of the month add a locked balance of 180% to 360%. Every real-money bet then unlocks a little of it: the amount wagered, times the house edge, times 1%.
At a 1% rate of the house edge, that would be the lowest rate of rakeback on this page. €1,000 of slot bets at a 4% edge frees 40 cent. Unlocking a locked €180 would require about €450,000 in bets.
It's still a decent offer. What unlocks is cash and it has no time limit. Just be aware of the percentage posted on the offer and don't size your deposit by that amount.

What rakeback pays on €5,000 of slot bets
Let's say you play €5,000 worth of slots in a month. At a 96% payback, the house edge for that play would be €200. This would be the rakeback at the three casinos.

Rakeback turns a 4% house edge into 3.6% at Cloudbet and 3.8% at Shuffle. It makes play a little cheaper. It's important to know, however, that rakeback will never make play profitable. A casino saying that is false.
Rakeback by game: the house edge decides
Rakeback is a share of the house edge. A game with a small edge thus has small rakeback potential. This is what a 5% rate returns on €1,000 wagered.

This does not mean you should opt for slots. The rakeback is bigger there because the game costs more. On blackjack, a house edge of about 0.5% means you lose about €5 per €1,000 wagered and you get 25 cent rakeback. On the other hand, if you were to play slots, you would lose about €40 per €1,000 and get €2 back.

Rakeback or cashback: which pays more?
Rakeback
Paid on every bet, win or lose. It follows how much you wager, so it arrives steadily and in small amounts.
A winning week still earns it.
Suits regular play on games with a clear house edge.
Cashback and lossback
Paid on your net losses over a set period, usually a week. A winning week pays nothing.
A bad week pays far more than rakeback would.
Suits softening a losing run, the only time it pays.
Bet €2,000 on slots for a week. On average you lose €80. A 5% rakeback would return €4. Betpanda's 10% cashback returns €8 on that average week, €30 if you were €300 down, and nothing if you finished ahead.

Rakeback and VIP levels: the cost of climbing

Climbing levels at Metaspins and Betpanda also means you'll earn higher rates and unlock boosts at Cloudbet. The amounts required are large. On average, wagering €100,000 on slots costs about €4,000 and a 5% rakeback returns €200.
Rakeback is a discount on play you were going to do anyway. The day you bet more to earn more of it, the casino has won twice.

Will Irish law change rakeback?
Section 157 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 is not in force. When it starts, an operator with an Irish licence may not offer an inducement to one person or to a chosen group. Personal boosts and reloads handed out by a VIP host are that kind of offer. The Minister can also restrict or ban offers made to the public.
The rule binds operators that hold an Irish licence. Casino licences are not due until 2027 and 2028, so the six schemes on this page are untouched today.
